FLIGHTS
There are two international airports with direct flights from the US: Queretaro (QRO) & Guanajuato/Leon (BJX). QRO is a shorter commute to SMA. The drive is on a major road and well lit. From BJX, the drive is slightly longer by twenty minutes and on a smaller road through the mountains. Both are safe with experienced drivers, which we recommend (see below).
TRANSPORTATION
The best way to get to San Miguel is to hire a transfer. Please check with your hotel first, as most provide private drivers. We do not suggest renting a car - the streets in San Miguel are very narrow and hard to navigate.

Because of the walkability of San Miguel, we suggest staying within walking distance of the events. The accommodations listed below are all within a 10 min walk to Cien/Carino & the centro! Please note that some of the boutique hotels only host 10 rooms or less so consider booking far in advance!

Despite being located a little farther from some events, the following beautiful hotels are in the centro for close proximity to all the restaurants:
We also highly recommend renting a house - it is such a fun way to experience SMA. Airbnb & Premier San Miguel have great options!
